SMELFIE
One thing that got me SUPER fired up at my Silver Retreat was session on Savvy Minerals. I mean, I was super excited when the makeup was introduced back in June at convention, but honestly - it scared me. I was like "ummm...I don't wear much makeup and I really don't know what I am doing". It freaked me out that I was now going to be in the market of makeup. What if people asked me questions and I had no idea how to answer them? Do I now I have to wear makeup everywhere I go? Because I am totally one of those weirdos you see at Walmart with sweats, clogs, and no makeup. So I played around with it a bit over summer, but kinda tucked the makeup away. I was tan, my skin looked great, and I didn't need makeup.
Enter the first day of school.....
Now, I use Savvy Minerals every single day. I am playing around with different techniques, finding cool tips and tricks from Facebook groups, and watching tutorials on YouTube. I'm actually having so much fun with makeup for once! I have begun challenging people in our groups to take their very own Savvy Minerals selfie...or, as I like to call it....smelfie. I love learning everyones fun tips and ideas. I never even would have thought to mix 2 shades together to make them a whole new color. Or mixing eyeshadow with one of my all time favorite products - Rose Ointment - to make a lip balm. #genius

A few fun facts:
•Savvy Minerals are free from: talc, lead, bismuth, mineral oil, parabens, lead, gluten and mercury!
•Savvy Minerals are made in the USA (the brushes are made in Italy).
•Savvy Minerals are cruelty-free and mostly vegan (the lipsticks and lip glosses have beeswax so they are not considered vegan).
•Savvy Minerals by Young Living uses Arrowroot Powder and Kaolin Clay. Both are calming to the skin, help to absorb excess oil and moisture on the skin and make the skin feel silky smooth. This is important because
most mineral makeup uses bismuth, which is a metal mineral that - when worked into the pores - aggravates the pores and causes irritation and breakouts.
•Savvy Minerals last ALL DAY LONG… seriously, ALL DAY LONG! You’ll look as fresh at midnight as you did at 9 a.m.!

Right now my ABSOLUTE favorite product is the Passionate blush. I use it almost like a bronzer for contouring, for blush, and/or eyeshadow. I am obsessed that each of these are so versatile.
Before and After for Tutorial |
I can't think of anyone who is like super excited to put toxins and nasty junk on their body and face. I think people just don't know any better. This is what I love doing....showing and teaching people how to pay attention to that junk. And showing them how easy it is to be beautiful, smell great, and be as healthy as can be...naturally.
Today, I did my very first Savvy Minerals Tutorial. It was super amateur and that's ok. This is me. Above is my before and after picture for the tutorial. I tried adding my actual tutorial for this, but I had published it with Beatles music going on in the background so it was deleted.
Below is a quick tutorial of my 5 minute face instead.

These are the colors offered by Savvy Minerals at this time. They are about to come out with a mascara for the line, which is super exciting. That's mainly what we were missing. Next week, my team is hosting an in-person Savvy Minerals class complete with a makeover for one lucky lady, free samples, free color matching, more information, and fun. For those not local, you can join in with us on our FB event and watch it live! Hit me up to get in. Or, I would be happy to bring all my makeup to you to try!
